NO TEST DRIVES WITHOUT CASH IN HAND. This is a lightweight high powered vehicle and is a handful for those who have not driven similar vehicles. There are NO ELECTRONIC NANNIES to save you if you screw up!
I would prefer a cash sale, but would trade up or down for a few cars which have 4 seats.
I have all the original receipts which total up to around $50K NOT including labor.
Cadillac CTS-V
Low mileage late model E55 (plus cash)
Porsche 911 Turbo (has 4 seats right? but wife will kill me)
Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 (plus cash or minus depending on year)
Subaru STI (plus cash)
Mitsubishi Evo (plus cash)

Nicely spec'd/built and priced.
No doubt you have > $50K in parts - I know I do.
(I like the no test drives disclaimer - these little beasts would surprise a lot of 'drivers')
G/L on your sale.
ps.. for those reading who don't know, Jeff 'Batman' Miller is one of the best 'Cobra' painters in the country.

Thanks
I love the car- and it's been one of the most inexpensive cars I've ever owned- insurance is half that of my truck (collector car insurance) with a $45k agreed value.
Since the baby came 4 months ago though, I hardly take it out. I used to love to cruise this with the wife. *perfect* summer car (in CA, perfect fall, spring, and most of winter car too!).
The first Cobra roadster I test drove I spun- but that guy had a bad alignment and a rear locker (WTF?!?! in a street car?!?!) in my defense
That test drive convinced me I *needed* power brakes too. Non power brakes = underwear check post test drive
As far as Cobras go, this one is very well behaved. Steering will be much quicker than anything a normal driver will have ever driven, acceleration is fierce, and braking is good by old standards, but without ABS it's easy to lock the tires if you're not careful. My first two cars had no ABS- I remember when it was a new-fangled thing
The biggest help on this car was the addition of F/R anti sway bars. It made sliding the car MUCH more predictable and easier to control. Without the bars, traction would let go with a scary SNAP. Now, it can be tuned for slight understeer, neutral, or slight oversteer in about 3 minutes.
The ride height is set a bit on the high side for my taste, but if you drive in L.A., you'll understand why that's a smart thing.

This one is SOLD! Driving up to Nor Cal as we speak.
Backdraft cars are nice- but I like FFR better. They are known for their track handling and stiff frames, and parts are easy to get if you need them. Superformance cars hold good resale value, but their frames tend to have more flex, and I think their suspension design isn't as nice as FFR.
It's an awesome toy to have, even my wife will miss it. Problem is there's no space for kids- which will be an issue for at least the next 16-17 years!
