I asked the same question to prior owner when I purchased the car and ran the car fax and saw that the carfax indicates damage to the front driver side. The carfax indicates that the damage occurred within the first few months of the first owners ownership. The owner I purchased the car from was not the original owner, but the second owner. The prior owner had the car checked out by Manheim Auto Auction for me and it passed their standards. I also had them meter the paint and they indicated that the paint passed the inspection. I personally saw know signs of damage or prior damage to the car when I purchased it, nor has the car seen any damage in my ownership. All the body panels appear to be original and appear to align. I can send you a copy of the Manheim report if necessary. Let me know if this helps.
