I just bought this;
Black black 2000 540iT sport package with sport seats and rear shades.
Only 8,400 miles now. Was owned by an older gentleman who did regularly drive it.

It drives great and is corrosion free, I just changed fluids (coolant, brake fluid, diff fluid).
It is nearly perfect inside and like a new car mechanically, but has had the front fenders/hood/bumper cover repainted due to something minor. The a/c condenser was not touched. The front bumper cover was the only thing replaced, I spoke to the body shop who did the work to find out the extent of the incident and it was pretty minor. I was going to update the front bumper cover to the e39 M5 anyways if I keep it.

I have looked for 3 years for an e34/39 wagon, and this is by far the lowest mile one I have seen especially with sport pack and black interior.

I thought the wagon thing was for me, but it may not be. It is a great car and drives like a dream. Very fast and the automatic does a fantastic job of being in the right gear at all times. Has tiptronic; manual mode and sport mode.

Go ahead and search for a low mile 540 wagon with sport package... they are rare and have been used

They sold 176 (?) manual 528's in the e39, no 540it manuals, and no e34 tourings in manual in the US. The swap is not that hard, but getting no error codes when you are done is difficult.
It does great as an a/t, what it really needs is an exhaust, suspension and M5 LSD.
