It very well could, similar to what people have done with Nissan Skylines in the past. It was imported with no drivetrain, so you may be correct. Like I said, Nebraska has no emissions testing really, so it has not been an issue for the current owner.

Had a prospective buyer come look at the car yesterday. Starting it up and letting him look at it, I remembered what an awesome car it is. Someone is getting it for a steal at 52.

 

Did the custom exhaust system keep the cats?

 

Looking at the exhaust, yes, it does appear to still have cats. I believe it is just a cat-back style.

I believe it's an "assembled" title, like if you built up a Cobra kit car or something. But it has been assigned a VIN and does have a Nebraska title, plates, etc.

 

If memory serves me right, my title said "Component Car", but as you say it has a VIN.
