I know this is opening things up for criticism, but any thoughts on the pricing here? I've had a lot of "likes" in other places with the listing, but curious what others who may know this market better think. It seems to be priced at market considering the miles and condition, but anyone think different?

I've been monitoring the rs4 market for a while now hoping someone list a car for below market not knowing what they have. Turbomx5, your pricing seems on par with the current market. Beautiful car and GLWS.

I've owned 2 RS4's and adore them. In fact I still troll the Audi forums and keep a pulse of the market. I think in order to get her sold you may end up dropping a bit during your negotiations but I don't think you're that far off. Many of these cars are building up miles so you definitely have the relatively low mileage on your side. The condition of your car appears to be top notch so that's another big plus. Yours is the second most common color for these vehicles which probably doesn't hurt but some RS4 guys are looking for the rarer colors and will pay a premium for those.
If you're not in a hurry hold tight. It's a beautiful car and at that price you'll stir up some interest. These are niche cars so a little patience might be warranted. Either way, good luck!

no paint work. Only time it has been in the shop is for scheduled maintenance. dead reliable up to this point.

keep in mind the pricing listed from dealers and other places are not usually the price sold. If you car is priced same as theirs you have to make it stand out. You need to price it aggressively or have something that makes it better than the other one.

Price drop
$39,500
Would like the car gone. Had a couple offers lower than that but trying to hold out. At what point does this become a bargain that someone wants to jump on?

He's asking if you've had the carbon buildup cleaned from the intake manifolds. I'd be curious about that as well, but I think the answer can be derived from your response.
In the FSi motors, because the fuel (and included detergents) don't run over the intake valves the manifold gets significant carbon build up which has to be manually cleaned. In our S6, we have to do it about every 25,000 miles. That interval seems to stand for the 4.2 as well.
Beautiful car, and I'm looking for one, but without knowing for sure, my offer price would likely be net of the cost to perform that carbon clean, and I'm probably in majority peer group of buyers for this car. You can take it into a mechanic and have them inspect it relatively cheaply. Hell, on the S6, I do that myself.

You own a RS4 and are not aware of their carbon issue?!?!? I had an 08 and after 45k it needed it. After it ran like a beast again. It will cost the new owner around $1500. Been looking for another for a daily. But that is a must on any car over 30,000 miles.

You car looks great. The RS4 is a future classic. I like that it is all stock. I do think your car is priced fair and if it were mine I would be asking a similar price. It becomes a bargain in the low 30's. I just passed on a Black/Black flawless 07 with 60k on clock for $36,900 at Porsche of Plano. It had new tires, new clutch, interior was perfect and all original. The car sold for under 35.
I had the carbon cleaning done on a S5 I used as a daily years ago under 20xxx miles. Its a common issue with FSI motors.
