Actually with this being a complete swap with everything brought over from the Camaro I think it could be done. It would just need a header swap with stock manifolds or CARB approved headers for an LS1, and probably different cats that were CARB approved. Everything else might get by. I know it would blow clean enough, and if you raised the idle they might not even hear the cam.

1997 M3 coupe, Florida and Texas car until 2 years ago. Garage kept. 193,xxx miles on body and 5k miles on rebuilt 2008 LS3 (forged internals, mild cam, less than 30k miles before rebuild). No rust.
