We have been the 3rd owner of this '66 Convertible, and it's been in our care for 5 years.
already a solid car when we bought it, I done some things to make this more pleasant for my wife (it's her car) to drive. I added 4 wheel power discs, updated power steering, power top. re-did interior (seats, carpets, dash) and exhaust
This year had the trans rebuilt and the clutch replaced and new shocks, electronic ignition and I have new 1.25" swaybars on order that will be installed as soon as they arrive.
It's a 289 4bbl, 4 speed car (toploader)
Originally a springtime yellow "C-code" car, in the late 80's early 90's the second owner did a minor restoration and redid the car how he would have ordered it new in '66. a full paint to black and a GT appearance package
She's not a concourse #1 condition car, but is a great looking driver. there are some nicks in the paint from use, but paint shines bright and looks good. She's rust free and except for a couple small patches in the floor has always been rust free.
In 5 years of ownership my wife has driven it "sparingly" and has recently decided she wants to replace it with a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
Some of the photo's show it with Colorado plates The car lived out there for 40+ years, and we recently moved to Connecticut. It's now located here.
So here it is....come see, drive, make an offer, bring a Jeep to trade. It runs great, going to take it to cars and coffee in about an hour. I can take pictures of anything else you want to see, just let me know
Listing it a couple places now, and thinking of posting on Bring a trailer next. Recent gen 1 mustang converts have sold there recently from high $20's to mid $30's in equal condition (most recent one was a little nicer than mine....but I'm not looking for $33k plus 5% commission for BaT)

Hello,
From one fellow mustanger to another. We have a similar 1966 76B C code 289 4bbl convertible with GT mods like yours. After two months of frustration I had the 1.08 venturi 4100 Autolite carb professionally rebuilt by a retired master mechanic in Houston TX (this guy know carbs). And learn a secret about our car..."the carburetor internal is been over pressurized" from the stock mechanical fuel pump 7 PSI output. Today's gas contain Ethanol which make the fuel much lighter than leaded fuel. For optimum performance fuel pressure need to be maintain at 3 PSI. Prior to the FPR installation, my car hesitate, flooded, trouble start up and idle on its own. Now she purr like a Singer sewing machine. Run like a champ.
Couple video of my carb before and after rebuild.
Just want to share the experience in case someone out there has similar issue with their carburetor engine not running right.
Beautiful car by the way, Classic mustangs price has jumped in recent year.
GLWS
