The Ferrari Testarossa was developed beginning in the late 1970’s as a successor to the BB model. While Ferrari originally intended to give the 512BBi a subtle facelift, it soon became apparent that the model would no longer meet emission requirements in the U.S. and thus a completely new model had to be developed. Ferrari turned to the research team at Pininfarina to design the new car, the project headed by legendary designer, Leonardo Fioravanti.

Only 501 examples produced, and of these only 75 would be brought to the U.S. during the 1995 model year. The 512M’s significance is that of being the final and best variant of the Testarossa production, but also that it marked the end of mid-engine flat-12 Ferraris.

Early history is unknown. In 2010, this 512M was in Texan collector ownership where it was used and enjoyed. All maintenance and service at the time was through Ferrari of Houston. In 2014, the 512M was sold to a Florida exotic car dealer. In 2015, this 512M found its way to another Ferrari collector, this time in Illinois. At time, this 512M was service by Ferrari dealer Continental Autosports.

With 43,300 miles from new, it has been extremely well-cared for in every way and appears as if it has 5,000 miles from new, that is how well-kept it is! This 512M had its major engine out service at 41,979 miles. It is complete with its original books, tools, service and ownership records.
