Base Model Perfection and future classic. PCA owned, well-sorted/maintained machine (warrantied until 2014), California-only car.

History/Ownership:

I'm the fourth owner and have owned the car for nearly two years and it has been an absolute pleasure to own. It's my first P-Car. Vehicle is located East Bay/Central Valley in Northern California and is about 1.5 hrs east of San Francisco.

Vehicle is garaged and covered (monitored by camera) and mostly taken out for the weekend. The car is meticulously maintained and was warrantied until 2014 by Porsche of San Diego and Porsche of Niello (Rocklin; North of Sacramento). The third owner purchased (whom I purchased from) the vehicle from Porsche of Niello and held for less than a year. I have service records from Porsche of Niello and San Diego. The records were sought out over the two years since I purchased the vehicle as the third owner did not keep possession of them. I spent the last two years retrieving the records on trips to Sacramento and San Diego to get the full history of the vehicle. All documentation will go to the owner when the vehicle is sold.

Vehicle Condition:

The car does not leak anything at all nor does it consume any significant amount of oil between yearly oil changes. It is a very solid engine that has been well cared for and I will likely regret letting it go.

Since I have owned the vehicle I have done the following:

1.) New Battery installation and purchase of trickle charger (CTEK)
2.) Darin Fister exhaust installation performed by Darin himself in Brentwood, CA.
3.) Fluid Changes: Hydraulic fluid, brake fluid (both factory Porsche fluid) and oil change (Motul 8100 X-cess along with filter cut yielded no visible metallic deposits). I have the documentation for these records including receipts and pictures.

The positives:
1.) Perfect entry-level P-car
2.) 997.1 engine sound is much more mechanical than 997.2's DFI engine (in my opinion). This is further enhanced by the tasteful Fister Exhaust
3.) No modifications outside of Fister Exhaust
4.) Full Service History and well-sorted (sweet spot for mileage: isn't a garage queen but doesn't have too many miles on it).
5.) Outside of front bumper and windshield on exterior (explained below), the exterior is in fantastic condition.
6.) IMS- Has the larger revised (ceramic) IMS Serial: M96/0569508099 (Pictured)
7.)In 2012, there was an extensive amount of work done: Clutch assembly/pressure plate/throw-out bearing as well as the RMS was replaced.


The negatives:
1.) Either owner 1 or 2 scraped the front bumper (no accident is noted on Carfax). It's definitely a 5-footer; you need to be closer than 5 feet to notice.
2.) Wear on Driver side adaptive seats. I suspect a previous owner was on the portly side.
3.) Windshield has pitting on it. It never bothered me and I never quoted a replacement but understand replacements can be pricey.
4.) Stone guards have some blemishes

Why am I selling?
I have four vehicles and this car is just not seeing enough seat time. It's been my dream car for years and I have truly enjoyed it, but I just don't drive it enough.
