Thumbs up 2004 Porsche Cayenne S w/turbo appearance METICULOUSLY maintained

Year: 2004
Make: Porsche
Model: Cayenne
Price: $6900
Mileage: 122000
Color: Tan
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MD
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: 4WD & AWD

Up for sale is a 2004 Porsche Cayenne S with the "turbo" appearance package (matching painted lower body panels, quad tip eisenmann exhaust). I am the THIRD owner of this vehicle and have owned it for the past 13 years. The car now has 122K miles (going up slightly) and also contains a METICULOUS maintenance history going back to day one of its services. Note the picture in the gallery of all the service receipts kept. Maintained primarily by Porsche of Arlington, Rockville Porsche, and Airpark Auto Service (VW/Audi/Porsche specialized shop) in Gaithersburg MD. The truck has had the following MAJOR hot items for a 955 Cayenne completed:
1. Cardan Shaft (center drive shaft replacement due to failed central bearing)
2. Coolant Pipe Upgrade
3. Fuel Pump Replacement
4. RevMax Transmission Valve Body Upgrade

Each one of these repairs is a few thousand dollars and all have been completed over the maintenance history of the truck. All other regular services have been conducted at more than recommended frequencies and receipts for each service will be provided.

The car is in good shape - however, the car is sixteen (16) years old so, scratches, dings are present in a few places (nothing major) as they would on any other 16 year old car. There is no rust anywhere. It also does have a clear-shield on the front bumper, fenders, and hood so the front end looks great as the "bra" has done a good job over the years of protecting the front end from road rash. The clearshield installed was of good quality and does not show any typical yellowing/fade. The car has been washed and waxed regularly throughout my ownership of it and has been garage kept.

Most recently new brakes installed on the front and rear, oil change conducted, and tires rotated and re-balanced. Tires are Continental All Season and have a great amount of tread left. Also, most recently I installed an OEM Porsche Trailer Hitch with the full factory wiring harness ($800 overall upgrade); however --- have not yet taken it to the dealer to have initialized (they need to program it in). The other very few minor upgrades that I have performed include clear front turn signals, front window tint to match the rear windows, and silicone engine breather hoses (plastic ones get brittle over the years).

The car is full with factory options as follows:
- Porsche Base Model (2004 Cayenne S 4.5L V8 340HP): $55,900
- Jarama Beige Metallic Paint: $495
- Havanna/Sand Beige Smooth Leather: $3,200
- Bi-Xenon Headlights w/ Washers: $1,240 (recently re-polished)
- Electric Comfort Package/CM Seats: $890
- Sport Seats w/ Memory: $1,290
- Porsche Communication Mgt. II: $2,780
- High Gloss Wood Steering Wheel: $290
- Thermally Insulated Glass: $1,080
- Compass Display: $80
- Moonroof: $1,100
- Heated Front Seats: $480
- 6 Disk CD Changer: $715
- Front and Rear Park Assist: $990

Total Price: over $73,500

Condition wise: as aforementioned the car does have some typical scratches/dings. Probably way less than any other car would being 16 years of age. Interior is quite nice and the real LEATHER (not pleather) which covers not only the seats but also the dash and the door panels is beautiful. The headliner does sag a bit (typical Cayenne issue and I haven’t had a chance to remove it yet to have redone. I was planning on doing so at Ranken upholstery in Gaithersburg). The car comes with a cargo cover for the trunk, retractable pet separating net, roof rack rails, rubber and carpet floor mats (although I can’t find the drivers side carpet one as I ALWAYS use the rubber ones instead), an awesome OEM Porsche car cover, two sets of keys (with LoJack), and all the original books, the original window sticker and all the maintenance records.

Mechanically the car is very good. It drives straight, stops well, shifts well. It has the tiptronic transmission with steering wheel “shifters”. As aforementioned the coolant pipes have been upgraded from plastic to aluminum, the driveshaft has been replaced, the fuel pumps have been replaced and the transmission valve body has been replaced with a RevMax one. Interestingly enough (and from my research actually quite common) the car does shift a bit hard till the transmission fluid warms up with the “new” valve body. It has been doing this since when the valve body upgrade was completed in 2015. However after a few miles of driving (or a few minutes of letting it sit prior to driving) it is 110%. Perhaps a different viscosity tranny fluid would make this go away - however, it never bothered me as I always let it sit and warm up prior to driving.

The car has a clean history’s and I have the clean title in my name. I am looking to get $6,900 OBO.

The only reason I am selling is I purchased a BMW 3-Series wagon that’s a 4-cylinder and is a lot more helpful to me on the gas and my 80-100 mile daily commute.
