In recognition of the 50th year of 911, Porsche produced a special edition to honour past models. Sitting on the wider body of the all wheel drive Carrera 4, and 10mm lower than the standard 911, the 50th anniversary has a phenomenal, thick stance. The wheels are a throw back to the ‘Fuch’ wheels on 911s back in the day, while remaining modern at 20 inches to suit the large wheel arches of the 991.

The 3.8L flat 6 has been upgraded with new camshafts, cylinder heads, intake, radiator and sport exhaust to develop 30 more horsepower bringing it up to 430hp marked as an ‘exclusive option’, all without turbos. Everything from power and sound, to throttle response is fantastic with this motor. Get on the gas and the car wakes up with a visceral, mechanical wail impossible to reproduce with turbo chargers.

Tasteful chrome trim has been added to the front bumper, window trim, and rear deck lid as a tribute to the original 911. Small design touches all around the car make it a very unique example, adding up to a substantially better looking 911. The old school Houndstooth cloth interior adds a sense of theatre while tracing its lineage to the original 911 completing the package as Porsche intended.

Manual transmission cars are becoming scarce and usually produced for high performance or special editions. Similarly, sports cars with naturally aspirated engines are also quickly becoming a thing of the past. This Porsche has both. These limited edition, numbered cars are sought after by aficionados and collectors alike. This car will certainly become extremely coveted among savvy 911 enthusiasts, and even more so down the road.

Former Porsche CPO vehicle, inspection was competed at the end of the extended warranty period in June 2020 with no faults found.
