2003 BMW M3 Convertible

Year: 2003
Make: BMW
Model: M3
Price: $14000
Mileage: 151000
Color: Carbon Black
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MA
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

VIN: WBSBR93453PK00734
Options: Lumbar support, Park Distance Control, Xenon headlights, Harman-Kardon Sound System, Aluminum Interior Trim,
Owned for 15 years
Maintained mostly at a specialist BMW/Porsche indie shop
Asking $14,000

Selling my beloved M3, mostly because the arrival of a second kid required getting a bigger car, and now garage space is at a premium. I am the third owner -- first guy owned it for 10 months, and traded it in. I bought it from the second owner in 2006 with 59K miles, and proceeded to drive around 90k miles in 15 years. Mostly used for commuting and a bit of autocross, until 2019 (first kid). It has been mostly sitting idle since. The car was garaged both at home and at work since 2006 -- the convertible top is original and still in great shape.

The car is pretty much stock -- the only changes are:
- Original 19” wheels were swapped for 18”
- Koni Yellow adjustable shocks (installed around 2007, replaced twice under Koni’s warranty)
- Rear springs are Lesjofors (BMW ones broke at least twice, so once I had it with them, I just installed thicker ones. Still have one OEM rear spring)
- CD Changer broke, and was replaced by a DICE iPod connector (I think I still happen to have the CD Changer, funnily enough)

Most of the maintenance/repairs over the years were done at GermanPerformanceService -- a well-known specialist BMW/Porsche/racing indie shop. I have a pile of receipts. Rod bearings recall was, of course, done by BMW. The car was in a low-speed accident in 2016 -- a tow truck driver didn't notice me while changing lanes, and damaged the entire driver's side. The repairs were done at the best body shop I could find.

Notable repairs done by GPS that I was able to dig up receipts for:
05/2021 - Convertible top hydrolic pump, starter
08/2020 - Aux fan, coolant expansion tank, coolant overflow hose
03/2020 - Airbag recall
11/2017 - VANOS Solenoid (Dr. Vanos), Valve adjustment, spark plugs, Valve cover gasket, water pump, thermostat, drive belts and tensioners, alternator, front swat bar bushings
07/2017 - Guibo, driveshaft, steering angle sensor
10/2016 - Front brake lines
09/2016 - Passenger door lock actuator
10/2015 - Front control arm bushings
08/2015 - Brake pads and rotors
04/2015 - Front left brake caliper
03/2015 - Leaking oil relief valve, chain tensioner seal
09/2014 - Final stage unit blower motor
01/2014 - Right front brake caliper
10/2013 - Replace exhaust
06/2013 - Exhaust cam sensor
03/2013 - Inspection II
There was more stuff done between 2006 and 2013, I just don’t have those receipts.

Things I know are wrong with the car:
- SES light is on, caused by P0036 -- an oxygen sensor
- High-pressure power steering line is leaking.

Also included in the sale are:
- A set of winter wheels/tires -- 17" M Contour Style 23 wheels, Blizzak 225/50R17 WS90 tires
- BMW wind blocker

I pulled the carfax report but can't attach it (the attachment upload widget doesn't like the PDF for some reason)

Just sent a PM on e46fanatics. I think if we exchange enough messages in this thread, we'll be able to PM.

Ha! Just responded. These new rules to filter out bots is annoying.
