WTB: Ford GT minor accident?

Year: 2005
Make: Ford
Model: GT
Price: $250000
Mileage: 35000
Color: any
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): AL

A number of years ago I was looking for the dream of having a FGT and everyone was telling me then to buy no matter what colour. In the end I couldn't purchase the FGT because the deal on selling my collector car fell through at the last moment, and it happened more than once. So I learned my lesson and didn't want to come back until I had money in hand.
I have followed the auctions on FGTs and it appears I have been left in the dust - the train has left. I have a budget of $250k and I am trying to be realistic, so I am thinking something might happen if I look at vehicles with over 35k miles.
Seriously will consider accident/salvage vehicles.
Any colour.

$250k max is in the rear view mirror.

Truthfully these cars are not good driving cars and the tire choices simply suck,
hence the serious number of these cars that now possess crashed salvage titles
No electronic nannies on a high powered car being sold to rich, non-drivers was a telltale of being cheap

I appreciate your comment because I am assuming you have direct experience with this particular car. When the car came out on 2004 I was immediately attracted to the looks, the fact it had a Ford engine that I could go to Ford for parts, engine accessibility because I like to maintain my cars as much as a diy guy can do, it's low production number.
Prices are so high now that I am having to settle getting a car with accident history.
Not intending to drive it alot, basically C&C and other shows.

I can agree with parts of this but not all. Check fordgtforum for tire options and other info on the car. The original Goodyear was terrible and no longer available. Put a Pilot 4S up front and sticky Nitto out back if you're worried about no traction control or just make sure the wheel is straight before WOT. There are other tire alternatives as well or even aftermarket wheels that open even more options. They are an excellent drivers car in my opinion, and last of it's kind. The balance is amazing, ride smooth, bullet proof drivetrain with great power. Love taking mine to the track or even out to dinner.

A friend has one with over 50K miles and sounds to be a great solid car that can take a lot of abuse.
