Location (State): CA (Sales to CA residents/buyers for CA-registration and use Only)

For sale and for your consideration is my California-registered 2011 Ariel Atom 3. Apologies for the funky "Lotus" listing, but Ariel isn't a list option.

======
This car is currently registered in California. It is my understanding, as well as understanding from other sources that you cannot appropriately bring in a non-California Ariel Atom registered in another state (Texas, Florida, etc) into California and register it. To register an Ariel Atom in California, it must go through the SB100 exemption process (which is limited to only a couple hundred vehicles per year) when it's new before it's ever registered in any other state. There has been some dispute as to people who have been able to circumvent this requirement through undisclosed means, but please be aware the onus of such falls upon you, this vehicle meanwhile is a CA registered vehicle already.
======

The vehicle has approximately 4,8XX miles, and it's in excellent condition. The car was spec'd with a gunmetal metallic frame. It has factory front wing, rear wing, tow hooks, etc. The vehicle recently had a fairly thorough service, including the following:

-Oil change
-Brake system flush
-Clutch system flush
-Transmission system flush
-Spark plugs
-Valve adjustment
-Throttle pedal adjusted (had a very small dead zone previously due to slack in the pedal)
-Install Rizoma mirrors (I have been informed these are what are used on the Ariel Atom 4, and they certain have far better field of vision than the previous mirrors)

I also have purchased (but not yet installed) the factory Ariel Atom 3.5 lighting upgrade kit. More modern lighting for hopefully improved drive-at-night capabilities.

Noteworthy is that future Ariel Atom 3 models were K24 turbocharged, K20/24 hybrid turbocharged, or, with the Atom 4, back to K20, but still turbocharged. This is the last of the factory-equipped K20 supercharged variants, and the combination just adds so much character. The noise, the response, the weight, the fun..

Caveat: Vehicle is intended for sale within the state of CA/for a CA-based buyer. It is located in Southern California. Transportation for a NorCal buyer can be arranged at buyer's expense. This is to ensure that there is no titling difficulties with a purchaser out of state.

You missed one of the best selling points about an SB-100 California car and that is that it never has to be smog checked again. Just pay registration each year but no smog required every other year. Nice example! Glws

Thanks Chuck! I appreciate you pointing that extra out, it's become such a natural fact of Atom ownership to me that I just plumb forgot.

Small handful of Atom 2s out there for sale for $50-60k, Indiana and Montana titles. And maybe one Atom 4 out there for $130k, which I believe was Arizona title. List is relatively high but the vehicle as a CA-based AA3 is not simple to value. Understanding this however, I am entertaining reasonable offers.

As there seems to be some difficulty with comprehending the OBO nature of the original listing (on other forums, not here), I have changed the listing to a more clearly set price.

Edit: I have decided to take the vehicle off market and purchase a custom-manufactured trailer for it to take to track days.
