I'm a lifetime car enthusiast and will do my absolute best to describe the car so that the new owner receives exactly what they expect. I’ve owned it since January 2022 and put about 2000 miles on the car.
The car is a beautiful combo of Daytona grey with a silver side blade over full black leather. In my opinion it’s the classiest and most eye catching color combo available. Daytona has a massive amount of metallic flake and the paint is near flawless with a recently applied 5 year ceramic coating. This is the nicest paint of any car I’ve ever owned.
The interior is as close to flawless as you will find for a car that’s actually been driven. No leather bubbling at all, no excess seat wear, and overall just a great example of a car that you’ll wear like an expensive watch. There is one flaw on the interior, the driver’s side door sill scuff panel has some minor clear coat peeling. This is about a $500 part, if I was keeping the car I would replace the piece.
Here's what I've done since purchasing it; The first thing I did was get rid of the BC Racing Coilovers that came with the car. I know they are talked about on the forums as a less costly alternative to replacing the mag rides, but they were extremely disappointing to me and I wanted the factory feel and push button adjustability of the factory Mag rides. All 4 have been replaced and are perfect. When the mag rides were installed, the shop checked the front suspension mounts and confirmed that they too are in factory perfect condition. The car had an oil change right before I purchased it and has had one during my ownership. It’s due for another (based on time, not miles) that I will have completed prior to sale unless the buyer prefers to handle it themselves. I also had the aforementioned 5 year ceramic coating done as well as had the gear shift **** polished.
There are a few small flaws that I want to be transparent about. The front lip has faded and could use a blackening treatment. The AC blows ice cold but very occasionally goes off. This was diagnosed as a faulty air conditioning pressure sensor and is a common issue. It’s a 1-2 hour DIY project that I just never got around to because the issue almost never presents itself, I have the new sensor and it will be included with the sale. Also, the driver side sill scuff panel described earlier.
Overall, this is going to be as near perfect a car as you will get for a gen-1 gated car. These cars are incredibly engaging, get tons of attention from other enthusiasts, and deliver a gated rear engine driving experience that’s just unavailable at this price point for any other car.
Open to trades but only for a clean s2000 or 911 (both would need to be + cash).
