The 996 Turbo was my dream car when it came out and I was in college. I finally picked this one up in the summer of 2015. I’ve lightly modded it over the years to make it handle, drive and accelerate more like a newer Porsche. I was planning on keeping it forever, but plans change. A job opportunity in Australia that might not be temporary has forced my hand. Instead of storing it with an uncertain future, I’ve decided to let someone else enjoy it. I have the stock exhaust, front differential/axles and the OEM 18" turbo twist wheels if someone wants to return it to stock. Would just need stock suspension as I didn’t keep the worn dampers and old springs.
I’ve done almost all the work on it myself. (have been wrenching on my own cars for 25 years now). I have Blackstone oil analysis reports from every oil change that I’ve done. The car doesn’t leak a drop of anything.
The body/paint is really good for a 90K mile car. Just has rock chips on the front end. No dents or large scratches anywhere. One gouge in the lip of the passenger front wheel from one of my lift arms that wasn’t pushed all the way to the side when I was pulling into garage. I corrected the paint a few years ago and keep it coated with a ceramic spray regularly.
The one issue it has is a small leak in the A/C system. I’m pretty sure it’s the driver side condenser, but I haven’t replaced it as it just needs a proper re-charge every year or two.
Had a small accident way back in 2006 well before I owned it. Previous owner supplied me with a TruFrame report on the car and it's perfectly straight. The paint work was well done and hasn't been an issue in the nearly 2 decades since.
Maintenance records going back to 2015 available on request.
