$6,500. It was driven & parked in a barn 30 years ago, that is the last time it ran, my friend drove that through high school, and parked it when his dad gave him a 911S, that he is keeping, and we will be restoring it, but his other old 911s will be coming up for sale.

Here is what it looked like when last raced, before being crashed in 1962

It is for sale, has been with the same owner (who recently passed) since 1962. BTW, the 1956 300D next to it is for sale, but he is keeping the AMG 500E

If I had this car, and the money necesary to restore it, my first and only call would be to Paul Russell, www.paulrussell.com

His work is easily the best in the world on vintage Mercs. there's a reason that Mercedes themselves call Paul Russell to restore their cars... he's also done more pebble beach mercs. than anyone in the world...

Check it out!

damn that looks like a life-long dream of a project! Congrats, and Good Luck!

It was a gull wing that had the body chopped for a SCCA race car in the early 60s, like dealers who trashed 4 cam Carrera engines back then, Stupid, just plain stupid on their part. Hans' father built some need cars back in the day, but I don't know if he built this one. Paul Russell has veried the serial number as a Gullwing. PM answered.
