997 / 996 Carrera III Wheels and MPS2's
997 / 996 Carrera III Wheels and MPS2's
$1300 for the wheels and tires. They fit 997 and 996 narrow bodies just fine. I like the rear offsets on the 996 more than the original turbo twists. They fill the wheel well better. The slightly taller profile makes a smoother ride too.
The set has about 10K miles of usage overall (2 owners, 2 cars).
Michelin Pilot Sport 2's still have meat on them; 70% up front, at least 40% with rears.
Wheels are in very good shape. One rear wheel has some curb scrape that is touched up with silver and is not very noticeable. Other rear wheel has a dime sized scape. Fronts are free from curb rash, just have some shallow clear coat scratches. They look better than I'm describing, just don't want to suprise any potential buyers.
Sizes:
Front: 8x18 ET57 235/40-ZR18
Rear: 10x18 ET58 265/40-ZR18
I have detailed photos that I can email.

Ptrick,
The Carrera II's have been around since '02, so they look "correct" on a 996. I found them to look a little too delicate with their thinner spokes. The 997 wheels are the most conservative way to give a 996 a visual update and most non-Porschephiles don't even know that anything was changed.
Thus, the WAF (wife acceptance factor) is very high :-) .
