You saying that taking off the exhaust and replacing it with straight pipes doesnt add power??? I am hoping not. This should add about 30-35hp alone.

daytrader is infamous around these parts
That's where you are wrong. This topic had been debating time again and again throughout Porsche forums. You can ask any indies, Porsche experts about this. Me myself had talked to many Porsche experts including my two cousins. One is a PCA driving instructor and the other is Porsche certified mechanic.

Some of you who believes in big HP increase with these mods. are being misleading by some manufactures that built and sell these products.

Last year, I had talked to the owner of Fabspeed regarding this matter. He was very courteous and honest. I appreciated his candid about his products. On non-TT model 996 there is not much room for HP tuning. Porsche tech. had done their work to squeeze out every horsepower on the 996's engine. Just for discussion, if you gain 15-20 HP you will not feel much different. This is so true. You can quote me on that.

you should buy these for sound first. however, it will reduce back pressure which could increase hp. it probably won't be that much but no one has provided a dyno so, til then, let's leave it at that.

Daytrader, these are not NA pipes as stated earlier in the ad. I think you may be confused?

Remind me NOT to get stock tips from this guy

On a TT X-50 car, these are good for 54 hp (average from 2500 to 7000 rpm).......I'm thinking it is noticeable

if you already have the Fabspeed exhaust, you will experience minimal HP gains since the Fabspeed mufflers don't have much back pressure. however, i would suspect a few HP gain.

you must have the Fabspeed exhaust for these to work. they will not bolt up to the stock cats.
