kzrsoize, I just got back from Stevens Creek Porsche and they have an 05C4S in Artic Silver, 6 speed, full black leather interior, price reduced this week-end from $79,995.00 to $71,995.00 Hope this helps. I talked to Eric and he is a nice guy with no real pressure to purchase.. Good Luck!

I'm on the same boat kzrsoise! Been searching for a few months now. Having come from 3 generations of bmws (since the 80s), I'm now ready for a pcar. From the wealth of information here in 6speed/rennlist and numerous tesdrives of 996 C2s, C4s, TTs and more recently the 997...the 02-04 C4S is definitely the car for me. There's been a strong argument for the TT since the price is so close to the C4S's but its too much car. I've got a lead foot and its easy to go over speed limits with the C4S let alone the TT. I've read people getting really good deals on C4S's lately...from 02 50k for $45k to 03 40k for $50k to an 04 15k for $60k. I just can't seem to find one within a reasonable distance from me. I'm currently in CO but homebase is Northern CA so I'm looking everywhere for that elusive, nicely optioned Midnight Blue.

I am actually leaning toward the TT now, but after doing some research, it appears this 2nd gear pop out has me a bit worried. There was a member selling a super clean midnight blue on this board, and he happens to be up north if im not mistaken.

The TT bug bit you, eh? Best bang for the buck imo plus no RMS issues but $10k (or ~$3500 rebuild) for a new tranny after having just bought the car would be a definite bummer ;-). PPI is your friend!
