It needs to be approved by US Customs, the DOT, and the EPA. Many parts will have to be changed by the ICI. With red tape it can take up to a year, but usually takes about 4 months. You'd have to buy US version Ferrari parts (including emissions systems), so total cost would be 30k+. And after all that you would have a gray market car, which tend to hold their resale poorly.
Back when the EUR/USD exchange rate was favorable, it made economic sense to do this to get Ferraris from Europe. But not anymore.

The car is currently in Santa Monica, Ca (my buddy is spending his summer there)
Ill see if he can send me some pics. It does not have the stripe BTW.
