Must be dependent on market - around here in the NY City Tri-State, no dealer I know of would discount a 911 $10k. I could be wrong, but I haven't heard of any.

 

Definitely different markets have differing demands. They were completely unwilling to discount any C2S or C4S but non-S cars seemed to have plenty of flexibility.

 

So an '06 sitting on the lot goes for the same as an ordered '08 since they are both going for MSRP? What is the motivation to be buy the '06? Suckers?

What did you get for it?

 

After much haggling, dealer gave me $67.5k (+ 7% back for sales tax).. the problem is I traded it for an SRT8 Jeep so my tax savings were only 7% of about $43,000 instead of the full $67.5 - about $3000 - in the end, I ended up with $70,500, less the $50 eBay fees. I had one guy who came out and looked at it, offered me $69k on the spot, I almost took it, but the deal I got was better.
