For Sale: 1999 C4 Cab

Selling my 1999 C4 Cab. Triple black, 6 sp, supercharged with lots of upgrades. Started a new company and haven't driven the car much over past year. No problems with the car and it runs very smooth and powerful with supercharger and upgraded ECU. 66k miles. Asking $42k. Feel free to write or call me at 703-625-3821 with any questions.

NEW ASKING PRICE AFTER CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: $37,500

WELL...JUST GOT OFFERED $31K. IF ANYONE WILL BEAT THAT OFFER I'LL PROBABLY TAKE IT. BASICALLY GETTING SIMILAR LOOK AND PERFORMANCE OF 996 TURBO CAB FOR ABOUT 75% LOWER COST........ 10/08/07

List of features and extras:

-Evo Motorsports Supercharger-now around 420 HP
-GIAC programmed ECU
-TechArt equipment-
Turbo style front nose and headlight covers
Sport exhaust
Extra thick steering wheel
Console gauges
Shift **** and hand brake
(all interior TechArt pieces are matching silver, including Porsche emblem on steering wheel)
-Gemballa lowered suspension (stiffness is somewhere between Turbo and S model)
-RUF 18” 5 spoke wheels with TechArt spacers (wheels perfectly flush with fender) and Michelin PS2’s (2 almost brand new, other 2 60% left)
-Pioneer AVIC N-1 Stereo w/ built in Navigation. Stereo system is custom built by Paris Audio in California, including 2 built in 8” subwoofers under custom built rear seats.
-Clifford aftermarket alarm system with remote trunk release and one touch top down
-Sony/Ericsson Bluetooth integrated phone system
-European clear side markers
-Silver painted Porsche hood emblem
-Mobil One synthetic oil (always)

Supercharger was installed by Intersport Auto in Vienna, Virginia in 2004. Actually get about 3 mpg’s more than before. Car is easy to drive around town, as smooth as non-supercharged.

Regards,

Mitch

Question

What do you guys think of my pricing? I'm sure no one will say too low, but is it about right or too high? I know new rules are not to bash someones pricing, but maybe someone who has a good feel for this stuff would be so kind as to send me a PM?

Regards

I don't know the market but I'm saying way high. I have a 2002 Carrera 4 Cab I'm selling and asking $41k for it (60k miles).

If anything, unfortunately, the Supercharger lowers the value.

Just MHO.

Hey Scott, long time no see. Wow, lowers the value?
Hope you're wrong.....but if you're right don't know what to say. Well I guess I might be keeping the car after all.

Hope all is well with you.

Regards

From my experience, it does. People tend to be afraid of modified engines. But certainly wish ya luck selling!

Yup, I should have a car arriving in a few days and I'm sure I'll be around here more again...

Since you asked - I think you're about $5-7k too high. I sold my 1999 Cab (non C4) last year w/34k miles, aero kit, new top, 18s, XM - for low-mid $30s. As a buyer, I would almost automatically discount any car with mods like a SC because (right or wrong) I just assume the car has been ragged. 1999 cars have a long history of RMS failure, and 66k miles on a force-fed engine is not low. None of your listed mods add value in the book or at the bank.

Good luck anyway!

How many miles on the Evo SC?
I think the price is very reasonable.
