FS: GT3/996/986 Parts

THE BELOW ARE AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL PICK UP ONLY. I'M NOT YET MOBILE ENOUGH TO PACK AND SHIP. IT'LL BE MAY BEFORE I CAN DO ANY SHIPPING.

Have a bunch of Porsche-specific and general track-related parts for sale. I'll be getting out of tracking after some 13 years, so, I'm getting ready to decontent the GT3, again.

I underwent surgery on an injured ankle (motorcycle accident last March) on Jan 3. Had a recent exam/evaluation, and it seems like I'll be losing a bit more flexibility/strength in my ankle than the doc led me to believe. Only time and physical therapy will tell. Even then, it'll be another 5-6 months before it plays out. Even then doubt I'll be comfortable running the car on the track.

And my insurance company has now amended its policies to exclude coverage for any and all track-related activities, competitive or not. Previously, as long as you weren't participating in a competition (against the clock or against others), any damage would be covered. Not now.

I've been researching what "track insurance" would cost, and found that it would cost me about $700 per event to be covered. And that's with a $3300 deductible. Just not worth it to me.

Here's the list of things I have for sale. Those things in the first section are available now. Those in the second section will have to wait until I can remove them from the car, probably early May. Or, if you want, come help me take them out if you're in a hurry.

No exhaust. I have Cargraphic cans on there, and they'll be staying on. Love the sound and the weight savings.

Made a mistake in my listing above. The Traqmate is not yet available as it's still in the car, and I cannot remove it until I become more mobile.

Hey Joe,

Please let me know when your GT3 seats will be available. I'm in the area, and would like to take a look!

Thanks,

Will do. Looks like I should be out of this walking boot in the next week or two. I hope to get the seats swapped by the first of May. BTW, there are two other local guys wanting to check them out, and two guys to whom I would need to ship. I'm hoping for a local buyer, of course.
