Does it replace the whole deck lid of 997? I have 997 black, would love to have the wing. How do you install it?

yes it replaces the entire deck lid. Simple bolt on construction but it's not a "do it yourself" unless your an expert at porsche body work.

I may be stupid but, what color in "unpainted"? Do you know how much will cost to paint porsche black and shipping cost to chicago?

Unpainted means chalky white primer.... depends where you take it to be painted but most prob more than a few hundred for paint and shipping is about $120 or more to Chicago.
