Yet another price drop. $2850!!!!!

 

I paid $4500 for these turbos and never even touched them..

 

$2800.. Someone please take these before I change my mind. This is an unbelievable deal..

 

So one would basically need to purchase all other "peripheral" parts of the GT700 kit to really make this work correctly?

ya...and the custom tuning. which is what turns me off on any custom turbos outside of a kit.

 

They're not custom turbos. These are for someone who already has an exhaust and DV's, then you would need a 5bar FPR and gt640 tune...then you are good to go. I'm sure Stephen from IA could provide gt640 software. Once you have these turbos, you could upgrade to a gt700 by adding a fuel system.

These turbos are $4500+++ new...

 

I thought the same thing, but was told that the tune wouldn't be the same as say the tune for an evoms gt6xx or gt700 kit. These turbos may vary quite a bit from other gt28s out there. This information was from a reputable tuner too.

 

I have been told by a reliable source that these are not the same turbos that EVOMS is currently using on their GT700 kits. Instead they are the "older" GT700 turbos..... for whatever that is worth. I am not sure how they are not as good/efficient as whatever EVOMS is currently using in their 700s....

Either way, to buy these and a 5bar FPR and a tune to achieve 640hp sounds pretty damn tempting... how much lag can be expected?

 

These turbos were purchased from a very reputable tuner who offers a GT700 package. Yes, EVOMS did change these turbos slightly so the new GT700 package that EVOMS sells has a different housing made specifically for EVOMS by TIAL. I haven't seen any testing by EVOMS to prove that their new turbos are any better than the old turbos. The only difference that I am aware of is that no one but EVOMS can get these new turbos because TIAL makes the housing specifically and only for EVOMS. For $2800 these turbos are a steal. I paid $4500 for them and simply want to sell them because I have other turbos on my car now and thus no use for them.

 

I'm sure some of these "tuners" also want to make their money on the turbos/kit and not just the flash, so of course they're going to tell you that they won't work!! Broaden you're horizons, and speak to some other tuners!!! There are PLENTY of tuners that can make a flash for WHATEVER mods you have!!

Not sure if your comment is directed near what I said, but the "tuner" I talked to actually said go ahead and buy this and have someone do an ECU for it - someone like EPL or Vivid.

No one has said this isn't a great deal, that's for sure...
