Feeler: Factory Navigation from 2001 996 Turbo

Curious what these units are worth....any input would be great.

I'm going to be selling this in the next 2-3 months or so....

pic from the internet to show which unit I'm referring to:

Thanks for the help!

no disprespect but i dont think its worth much
prob $100-200 because i dont think its DVD based system
i think its CD based
youre better off just keeping it in case u ever sell the car

however, if no one makes u a higher offer than $150 i'll take it just to have in case i get rid of my car

Ha.

OP: Yours is not the new MOST bus, but is the most modern version for 2001-2002 cars.

IN 2003 they went to MOST bus interfaces, and the last MOST bus version I saw sold at $1500.

In point of fact there is NO Porsche DVD based system that fits into any 996, so if one wants Porsche Nav then they buy a CD based system

I have one that I bought from a member here but decided now not to install it and go with a new Pioneer that has HD radio/xm/dvd/nav......any takers for this 2001 vintage unit (with accompanying nav cd holder unit)? PM me if interested

I don't think it's worth much because the market for it is so limited. I've been trying to sell a brand new add-on kit for a 997/4 (05-08) and almost no feelers. Specifically the factory kit to upgrade a car with no nav.

what is crazy is that I was just on ebay and there is just the nav unit computer (not the head display unit) on there listed for like $349. No display units on there from that era. Yet, I went to a couple of the dismantler sites and one has the display unit listed for $5261....HUHHHH.....and the nav unit computer for $2287......are these guys crazy? Who's gonna pay that cash for a cd based unit from 2001

That sounds like the 'new' price of the nav kit (at least the dvd version). How a dismantler (oh c'mon, they're 'junk yards'!) can charge new prices for old stuff is just weird. I'm looking for the same $350 or so for the dvd system.
BTW, I did purchase a set of new fog/running/turn signal front assemblies from a 'dismantler' a while back to replace my scratched ones. I was told they were 'as-new'. Tried to save $100 off new ones. Big mistake. I don't think I'll ever buy from these guys.

I agree with this logic. Look closely, it has a cassette slot......not sure how many would 'upgrade' to cassette. Upgrade youreslf to the pioneer or kenwood, keep this unit for when you sell the car.........pioneer and kenwood would be an easier sell then.

anyway, G/L with sale.
