gorgeous wheels, the curb rash had to be painful.

fair price for sure.

LUISGT3 Nov 5, 2008 12:51 PM

What kind of car did you have these on?

Thanks.

Actually, I bought them this way with the intention of having them refinished/customized.

Had I curbed my own, painful would've been an understatement.

If they don't sell they'll be getting polished lips and painted centers...maybe gold bolts.

I never got a chance to mount them, but they were on a Boxster which used spacers.

From the pics looks like they all have same lip sizes. Is that accurate?

Yes. While the LMs are actually staggered, the lips aren't. There are some rare exceptions out there, most likely custom ordered.

Real LM's at a great price. New these are $1,200.

I'm flexible.

nice rims, too bad that they are scratched up, I love them, good old quality from GERMANY !!!

OK. Was for a Boxster. Would they fit a 997S? A 993? I have some buddies that I can talk to to see if we can move them for you. I guess I need to do some research into the bolt patterns for each of their cars.

Thanks for the help!!

A 993T can run an 18x8(F) ET55 & 18x10(R) ET45. I read on another forum that the bentley manual specifies an 65mm ET can be used on the rear. 19's might be a tight fit on these models. Anyone interested would need to look into it. Spacers might be needed.

As for the 997. I know they'll fit perfectly. (Some correct me if I'm wrong.) But...there's a "but".

For a standard 997 with 18" wheels, this is great upgrade.

For a 997S with OEM 19" wheels it will be a personal choice. The 997S comes with 19x11(R). They can still run a 19x10 perfectly, but the owner will be giving up an 1" of metal on each side. They can compensate for the loss with a small spacer, thereby increasing stability, turn in, and steering feedback. Again, this will be a personal choice a 997 owner would need to make.

Look at it like this...my LMs have a couple of blemishes but are a fantastic value at my selling price. For another $200 the little rash can be removed and lips polished to a mirror finish. Powder coded centers is much more. So for less than $3k someone can get a set of $5K wheels, and one of the best on the market.

I can have them refinished for the buyer. Rash removed, lips polished, whole wheel polished, powder coated centers, etc.

I believe LM's are made by BBS Japan? Or is it the rare exception, since most forged BBS wheels are made in japan.

And yes, these will fit a 993.

You got PM

Nice set, great price. The rears are a little small for a 997 but it could work.

These will not last long...
