No preowned sets here either, but we can fix you up a set of 18" HRE C20 or C21 in charcoal if that is an option.

NP we understand!

In 18" your options are pretty limited...are you looking for track use on street? If weight is not a concern, the Victor Equipment Lemans is nice and under 2K for a set of 18". No gunmetal finish available though just silver or black

peter, what would it cost to refinish fiskes 18" ? mine are shot in finish, maybe need a little true'ing, gunmetal the centers, use for track/ street combo, not sure if painting the centers would hold up to the extreme heat on the track, i would be willing to risk powercoat.

We aren't Fikse dealers so I wouldn't be able to do the work safely on these....I would probably try sending them back to Fikse just for peace of mind.

HRE Wheels is infamous around these parts
If the wheels you are seeking are to be used at the racing level, you have to worry about how they were treated before you purchased them. Most dedicated racing wheels are only guaranteed for one season before they are thrown away or destroyed, and new wheels are purchased. When a light weight racing wheel is pushed to its limit on the track, it can easily be fatigued to a point of failure without warning. The problem with fatigue is that you can't tell when you will have a problem. Having a wheel X-ray'ed or doing a dye penetrant test will only show that a wheel has failed...not when it will fail. I only bring this up because your avatar clearly shows a car on a race track.

If you are to use these wheels only for the track, I would suggest that you purchase them new.

Please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss further.

really ? wow, thats a scary thought, i do use my fiskes aggressively and didn't realize that rims can have a lifespan on them. I love HRE and Fiske, but is there a similar but more cost effective rim out there ? i guess you get what you pay for ( mine are preowned and used for a few seasons)

Wheels used for track definitely shorten the lifespan. I don't think that personally I would purchase wheels for racing used either. Not worth the safety concern unless you knew the previous owner personally and knew the wheels' history.

You may want to consider this - new wheels typically arrive in boxes that are fastened with shipping staples. It is possible that during shipping a staple was subjected to excess stress and strain causing premature staple fatigue; meaning that when you pull on the cardboard box ith reasonable force to see you shiney new wheels, the staple could shear off & penetrate your skull.

Point being, just buy used street wheels & save yourself some money....
