Porsche OEM Short Shifter w/ Complete Assembly

***SOLD***
For Sale is a Porsche OEM short shifter complete with OEM shifter mechanism already integrated. I believe this fits all 996 models.

This is the "black" Porsche OEM version, not the "blue" 3rd party B&M model. Where an aftermarket (B&M) short shifter is NOT covered under warranty, the unit I am selling is actually a Porsche OEM short shifter. It originally cost over $450.

I previously had the B&M unit, but removed it after only two weeks because it was way too notchy and increased shifting effort too much. I felt that this Porsche OEM unit was a little less notchy than the B&M and I didn't worry about warranty issues. I used this Porsche OEM shifter for 1.5 years without any problems.

Most of you know that to install a short shift lever, you actually need to destroy the 2 main pvc bushings of the original shifting mechanism.
This damage is irreversible so once the short shifter is installed, you cannot return back to the stock setup.

That's why I am selling the entire short shifter mechanism that replaces the complete OEM shifter mechanism, so there is no need for chiseling out the bushings or any other modification. Therefore this unit is 100% reversible to stock when needed.

Because it is a completely pre-assembled shifter unit, the installation is much easier than retrofitting the shift lever into the mechanism. This ends up being an easy DIY that typically takes a 1st timer about 60-90 minutes.

***SOLD***
(shipping is extra)

Thanks,
Steve

DHI, are you actually trying to hijack my tread??? Very lame move pal...

In case you didn't read my original post, the B&M was horrible. I wanted to rip it out after the first day. I only kept it in the car for two weeks because it took me that long to find a stock mechanism to replace it with.

You have a PM. I'll take it. I've got the B&M and it kills me.
