FS: One set of the famous "Suncoast Porsche" Performance Headers for the 996
FS: One set of the famous "Suncoast Porsche" Performance Headers for the 996
Suncoast did a limited run on these a couple years back. Amazing craftsmanship and performance.
I had them dyno'd and make almost 25 max rear wheel hp and almost 10 peak rear wheel hp. There is a thread on here somewhere with pics and dyno charts....
Retail at the time (they are approx 2 years old) was around $1200ish.
I am selling them for $650 plus shipping. They are one of the true NA headers for the 996 that actually perform as promised. Suncoast got out of the header game so there aren't many of these floating around.
They are in great condition with the typical discoloration for headers mounted on the bottom of the engine. I'm not sure why companies go through the trouble of polishing them up (they were very shiny when new) as they can't be seen and within days will be covered in road mung
PM if you have any additional questions. Guaranteed to not disappoint.

25 rear wheel max hp at around 5k rpm and 10 rear wheel peak hp at redline. We did the before and after dynos within about an hour of each other. It's a good product.
Like I said, I have more power than I know what to do with right now so I'm going to put the $ into brakes. Had I known how much I was going to enjoy tracking the car, I probably wouldn't have supercharged it. Total overkill for track use as the stock enginewith a few light tweeks (like exhaust/headers/ecu) is plenty for running counter clockwise circles

The sound is a little more aggressive with the tone being slightly higher pitched. There is NO DRONING. Droninig is pretty much strictly a byproduct of a bad muffler or cat design.
When I had the headers on with the muffler bypass, it sounded just like a cup car
That was 90% due to the muffler bypasses though. The muffler bypasses are REALLLLLY loud.
The sound is great with these headers. I've heard them with stock and aftermarket exhausts and it sounds excellent either way. No disappointments and unlike some products out there, these genuinely make power. I actually made a deal with Suncoast when I bought them that I would only pay for them after the dyno runs as I'm a bit of skepticist. Obviously, I bought them
