Category: Accessories
Price: $500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Turbo, Porsche 911 997 Non-Turbo
Location (State): CA
Item Condition: Used

SOLD!

Selling a used "like new" OEM PORSCHE Stereo/Navigation Head Unit

(does not come with navigation, this is the control unit)

Took it off my car since my Porsche is now a full race car.

This is perfect for anyone who doesn't want to pay the thousands the dealer wants for this. It's insane how expensive these things are from the dealer. Take it home for 500 bucks from me!

thanks for looking!

may need to be 'unlocked' to your particular vehicle - any mechanic or local repair shop with a programmer can do this quickly and easily.

Also please note that this unit is the interface and controller to the navigation unit which you need to buy separately.

Sorry man. This has none of that. Thanks for looking though! But they sell systems to make it have those functions I believe.

Can it be used in an 996? If yes, I'll take it. I am assuming all the gps CDs come with the sale.

Don't think this will work in a 996. Sorry.

Did the clock hold time well? What year 997 was it out of? What options were enabled when it was in the car? CD changer (I know it is not included)?

Yes I had the unit replaced since the old one did not hold time. This one is newer and holds time nicely. the unit is a newer year than my car. I believe it is a 2008 unit but I need to check when I get back from vacation.

As far as options it was set up for the sport corno, CD and that's about it. I did not have the phone, Nav or CD changer in my car. But this unit will be the controller for all those options if you choose to get those.

Great price. My faulty PCM is getting replaced this week, under warranty, for $2400. If my warranty was gone, I'd get this in a heartbeat. I assume by uploading the correct enabling codes, it will address features already in a car, such as Nav.
GLWS.

Ken,

You should really buy this as a spare! It is only a matter of time before you will need another one

I'm thinking it will fit as well, the OEM part is listed as a 997 one, so I think we are in luck. If it will work, consider it sold to me once you return from vacation.
