Need wicker/gurney flap for GT2 wing - or better wingblade for GT2 decklid

993 GT2 was great, it had a lid that would make it possible to bolt on wing mounts for a banana wing. The only similar setup I've seen for 996 is the Gemballa wing.

What have been experimented with on 996 GT2 wing? First I want to look at adding a gurney flap - anyone know where to get a wicker/gurney flap for these wingblades??

2nd option if that can't be done well is to find a better wing blade.

I'm not utterly interested in going GT3 Cup or RS setup even though I know it works, still looking for suble updates.

This wing looks to have a lip like I'm looking for:

I don't think Ive ever seen a gurney flap for the GT2 wing. The Techart wing has a lip on it

Ahh... that Techart add on looks like an idea... might have to sacrifice my wingblade to attach something like that. Great input, thanks!!

Basic: Nooo way!!! lol Ah, right now I'm battling a little with oversteer since the rear RS2 tires are a lot harder than the front RS3, and at the moment, Hankook doesn't make RS2 in the width I want, so trying to work around it as much as possible with chassis and aero, til they launch something for my rear axle.

Picture looks like your not really going fast enough for aero to help you with grip, less go pedal me thinks or stickier tires.

Anyone know who sells that Techart wicker? I want to attach it on a GT2 wingblade.

The photo looks like I'm drifting for the cameras after the final Time Attack session... hmm

My tire sponsor doesn't have an R-comp yet for the rear axle, or wider tire, so I make do with their RS2 street tire until they do. It's my job to find ways to optimize the package to win, starting subtly b/c it's nice to look oem, listen to my bose system and have the AC on among all R-comp shod cf crazy modded racecars, and still lap the same.

Looks like the little button hook at Buttonwillow. I think your carrying too much speed through there. But then what do I know

That one posted above looks good. GMG also sells one. Here's a pic from their site for the GT2 wing.

This might be a different one they sell also in two different sizes; 8 and 15mm

Let us know how you make out!

Hmm funny cuz I asked Fabryce and checked their web but never found it. I'll have to break through the noise I think those guys are busy!

Thanks for the hint!

8mm should be good to start for higher speed tracks like Infineon and Sebring with the 15mm good for slow tracks like Buttonwillow.

Awesome info, thanks a lot guys!!! Been googling like an idiot and not much comes up.

I purchased the car with the lip on it from a guy in Miami. He tracked the car for one year then moved on to Cup cars. All aftermarket work done to the car was done at a place called NGT motorsport

Isn't the GT2 wing adjustable? will changing wing rake not make a difference?
