I was planning on doing a full 3" catless exhaust sometime this year but not quite ready to spend that money yet.
Good call I guess on the cat hollowing.... is that a difficult task? and isn't it hard to get all the debris out of there and not risk anything going into the turbo or mufflers? This was a concern of my installer.

it's running good. going catless is really going to smells. are you going to do a custom job. i was thinking of marks exhaust. still thinking about it i found a guy in san jose to do it 3" 100 cell cats, cross flow for a pretty good price but not really sure how it would sound

I just did this operation to my speedtech last week.. It's not terribly hard but is time consuming. I spent about 4 working hours from dropping the system to bolting it back up. If you can unbolt your cats from the mufflers, you will cut the work in half.

Was looking at custom exhausts - I found a guy in LA I was gonna have do a nice one for a good price too. maybe we can compare notes and pricing. I am not too concerned about the absence of cats. I don't think the smell is that bad is it?

Cool. Do you know if they are same dimensions and will fit an early generation Fabspeed Maxflo exhaust?
