Parting out my Supercharged 996. Tons of performance stuff.

Category: Accessories
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 996 Non-Turbo
Location (State): FL
Item Condition: Used

Looks like I may be purchasing a new vehicle so this one needs to go. As the title says, Supercharged 2002 Porsche 996 Cabriolet. Speed yellow with black top, and black full leather interior. 6 speed.

The mods are as follows:
Evo supercharger
IPD Plenum
OEM short shift kit
Cargraphic mufflers with OEM look turbo tips
GT3 brakes
GT3 cooling ducts
Stainless brake lines
Bilstein PSS9 suspension (corner balanced)
GT3 sway bars
GT3 seats with yellow backs
OEM roll bar
Zeitronix data panel with data logger
Smartire tire pressure monitoring system
OZ Allegrita 18" wheels with MPSC tires
OEM turbo front bumper
OEM look turbo rear bumper
Techart type II rear spoiler (whale tail)
Clear bra everywhere

The car is in excellent condition and well maintained. Its probably the closest thing you can get a GT3 convertible in its current configuration. With the right person behind the wheel, you can hang with almost any "street" car at DE events. And do it in style with the top down

Although I prefer to sell the car as it sits, I'm not opposed to parting it out under the following conditions:

  • I will not ship anything.
  • Any transactions will have to be done in person locally.
  • I will need your stock part plus whatever the agreed price on my part in cash.

I can see the vultures circling now

I'm not desperate so I'm not planning on giving anything away. The dealer has offered me a reasonable trade price on my car. With that being said, if I can make a few extra bucks and not have it be too much work, why not?

This really is a wonderful car. Although it does draw a bit of attention so if you're looking to be low profile... this isn't the vehicle for you. At 420 peak rear wheel hp and GT3 brakes, the acceleration and braking will shift your internal organs around

So it begins... Do we hear $37.5? (in my best auctioneer voice)

????

You seem to have a lot of conditions for a seller - what's the big deal about shipping if the buyer pays the cost? I would be interested in the wheels but I guess I have to move to Florida first to do business with you.

Hey there, we never got to meet but it looks like I won't see this car now. I might be interested in the IPD Plenum, what would you want? I will be back in FL for a visit soon and could bring the part with me for the swap. Would yours work seeing that my car is an 01 C4?

That's the beauty of this. You don't have to do business with me

Being that I need stock parts to exchange, I'm certain you can see my dilemma. It would be much easier for someone to roll in with the stock part, swap with mine, and then go home vs the alternative. Being that probably 60% of the people on this form are from Fl or Ca, I'm certain there's plenty of people that would meet my criteria. And if not, I trade it in and get a tax credit. Win win for me

I don't know. It should work though. Our engines are pretty similar. I would check around to be sure as I'm not 100% certain.

I'm not trying to be difficult, but I don't have a lot of spare time and I'm trying to make this as simple as possible.

For example, I can't have my car on jack stands for a week waiting for someone else's stock wheels to arrive.

I guess if folks were interested enough to send me their parts in advance, I would consider shipping. However, shipping something like the supercharger kit would probably be a nightmare... All those little parts and bits would probably take hours to package so that they would survive shipping.

I'm willing to sell this stuff at very reasonable prices, but as I stated above, it would be far more convenient for everyone involved to do a parts exchange in person. Especially in a situation like the the supercharger or with suspension brake components. Ideally the shop that removes mine would install it on the new owner's car for minimum hassle.

Now if I really wanted a supercharger kit, it would be well worth the drive to save some serious $$$.

I don't have an LI installed on the 996. I have it on my daily driver. I'm looking at a couple 997 GT3's right now.
