I'm certainly not one to stick a fellow P-car owner in the eye, cause ya never know when I might want to sell something in here..
But.. I stopped by the Porsche dealer in Louisville, KY on my way to my son's home in Indiana last Thanksgiving. Sitting on the floor in front of the parts counter was a complete set of brand new take-off Carrera Sport wheels and tires, with "For Sale - $2200"
written on on sign in front of the set.
Needless to say, I immediately told the parts guy that "I'll take 'em". He apologized, saying they'd just been sold over the phone an hour earlier. I figure someone must have just popped for a new 911, and had the dealer install new wheels/tires before delivery, and had no need for the take-offs.
If I wasn't so happy with my Ruger Classics (Fuchs copies), I'd jump on your set in a heart beat.
Good luck on the sale.
