Customer of mine gave me this genuine Porsche Tequipment Roll Bar to sell for him. It came out of his 996 GT3. The cage will fit all 996 Turbo and Carrera models (except Cabs). The bar is in flawless condition. They dont make these anymore. It might fit the 997 Turbo and Carrera also as our Agency Power Roll Bars fit both and they were modeled after this.

Will this allow seat to be slide all the way back with OEM sport seats?

Is it really as difficult to install as people say?

 

Not all the way back, I'm around 5'11-6 foot and as far back as the bar allows is just right.

I wouldn't say it is DIFFICULT, but it is definitely a ***** to install properly:

- If you aren't careful, you can break your rear view mirror, crack the windshield, tear up the headliner, scratch the center console, etc.
- The front seat belt bolts are a ***** to get in at the right angle with spacers, and the likelihood of stripping the bolt is high if you are not careful.

Doing it with 2 people makes it a lot easier, but unless you are very patient and confident, I would recommend letting a pro handle it because it may cost you another rollbar in broken parts to install it.

Is that a BOLT in? I am looking for a bolt in with minimal modification to car. Also, how far will that allow factory sportseat to go back? All the way?

 

Yes this is a bolt in and so is our Agency Power kit. Complete bolt in. Please read the reviews on the Agency Power bar. We had a customer 6'4 300lbs sitting comfortably in his 997!
