BLACK Lug Bolts - ANYBODY
I bought a set of covers but they didn't fit into the wheel hole wells. So I had the bolts powder coated...guess what...the black powder started to flake when were put on with the power/torque ranch. There must be a better solution.

these guys are a board sponsor and have anodized black lugs if you want them bad enough..I don't know if the anodizing weakens the lugs...since some aircraft bolts are anodized I doubt it....they also sell the plastic caps

Ddid you try them? I just found them on ebay, searched here and found this post. Chrome usually holds up better than powder.

Not black chrome, but I do have their regular chrome version - bought from same seller on ebay - link here for $119 delivered. They look great against my HRE P40 brushed wheels and have floating collar like OEM bolts. Only difference is 17mm head vs OEM 19mm.
Bought em.
I have not installed them yet, but the fit and finish is very nice. I will keep you posted if there are any issues with them. If I dont post back, assume they are fine. Lifetime warranty against chipping, peeling, or rust, very cool.
Thanks,
Jayson
