I need the LEFT one, for an "S" model exhaust. A cat from a non C4S or Carrera S will NOT work. The Turbo CAT won't work either.

I think you can buy a set of free flow cats from aftermarket for $600 to 800, look on ebay

 

oh boy... I hope you dint buy your 2003 996 Carrera 4S thinking it has more power than the regular C2 or C4...

 

Nope, but the cats are different from the non "S" 996s.

Cats for all 996 Carrera 3.6L Non GT Car are the same... 2002-2004 C2, C4, C4S, C2 Cab, C4 Cab, C2 Targa, C4S, C4S Cab and 2005 C4S & Targa... Same Cats

Try contacting one of the Exhaust Manufacture's on here. Im sure they have lots of Take-Offs... Ebay is also a good place

 

if the car is < 8 yrs in service and < 80k mi, the dealer should be able to replace it free to you.

mine went at 80250 miles. so i was SOL

Bump. I still need a LEFT cat. I was over the date sold on the car, so no dice on that.

 

Left as passenger side ... Cause I have one from 02 c2 vert that i once had before I upgraded to a turbo 996

What setup did you go with? Im also looking to replace cats on my C4S.
