2001 engine with LNengineering.com 99mm billet aluminum sleeves to enlarge the cylinder bores to yield 3.6 litres displacement. Go to LN website to see all Ln's parts & upgrades & click the link in 1st post to see pic's of rebuild.

would any modification be required to put this into a MY2002? I figure i should have a replacement engine lined up for when my IMS fails.

Since 2001 is Vario-Cam & 2002up is Vario-Cam + it will be difficult to install this engine in a 2002up 996. I don't recommend this conversion but I am going to build a 2002up 3.6 engine next or I can rebuild yours.
Sorry to be so long to reply, I don't check here often.

Engine Dyno means on a stand, correct, & not rear wheel HP?

NO, this dyno chart shows the results of a chassis dyno test of a Duplicate engine installed in a Boxster which has more restrictive DME tuning, exhaust, intake manifold & aircleaner housing than a 996. To compensate for horsepower loss thru drivetrain to rear wheels add approx. 15% + 10% if installed in 996 chassis. Engine output is simular to a oem 996 3.6

Yes, thanks for asking for clarification. The added low rpm torque is awsome & obvious during butt dyno testing!

the motor forsale here is a non-turbo model that is originally 3.4 litersnow 3.6

996tt have the metz motor, the regular 911 and boxster do not.
