FS: 997 GT3RS Wheels *Carrera Orange*

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $4500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Turbo, Porsche 911 996 Turbo, Porsche Boxter/Cayman
Location (State): TX
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

I just sold my 996 GT2 and purchased a (new to me) 997 Turbo. The new Turbo has an excellent set of factory OEM GT3 RS wheels....factory painted Carrera Orange. I just bought a new set of 20" ADV1's so these will have to go. They are not mint but they are, as you can see in the pics..in excellent shape. I will also be selling the H&R 7mm (f)/15mm (r) spacers with long wheel bolts if needed.

New as you can see they are $7995 + $2000 for Carrera Orange...which is insane if you ask me.
http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...e=997GT3Wheels

$4500 + shipping. H&R spacers and long wheel bolts $200. I will not sell these separate unless the wheels sell to a buyer who does not need them.

Thanks all!

Why would these wheels need spacers? GT3RS wheels whould not need spacers unless they are actually GT3 wheels....What is the offset?

What are you insinuating? They are OEM GT3RS wheels. The need to run spacers is the same need to run spacers on any other OEM wheel. Like pretty much all factory wheel set-ups there is room for improvement. The spacers only bring the wheel/tire completely flush w the fender edge. Ill try to get the offsets posted up today. Thanks all!

you're welcome
I also use spacers front and rear with my 19" wheels on my 96TT for the same reasons.

Just curious, if they are GT3 RS wheels then wouldn't the rears be too wide for NB 997s?

For the purist yes. Might fit nice and (even too) flush for some though. Im no expert thats for sure. I may omit that suggestion just to be safe though.

Just to be clear, I am not insinuating anything....GT3 and GT3RS wheels are identical except for the rear offset is 63mm for GT3 and 51mm for GT3RS. Since the wheels are 51mm and 12" width, that is like having a 11" wheel with an offst of 38mm in terms of how it sits on the fender. So putting a 15mm spacer on the rear would make it the equivalent of 23mm offset for an 11". No way would that work. If you have a 15mm spacer on a GT3RS wheel, my guess is it may be a GT3 wheel. This is why I asked the question. I have been looking for GT3RS wheels for a while now for my C4S, so I would not need to use a 15mm spacer on a GT3 wheel. Once I find a set in my price range I hope to buy it. Hope that makes sense. The best thing is to look at the back wheel when you take it off. Good luck with selling...they are my favorites.

Cool thanks. When the car is delivered to EVOMS I will have them hit me with the info on the rim. I am actually going by what the previous owner said about the wheels. I doubt he deliberately misinformed me as a buyer. Im gonna try to have him chime in.

My former car/wheels. They are factory GT3RS wheels with offsets/sizes stamped on them as stated above by difparis. These were bought lightly used from TPC racing. You can PM Casey@TPC for verification.

Wow, my old friend Bonehead . I think I am running the original Turbo Wheels off of your new car, triblk6spd. I bought the wheels from Bonehead two years ago. On my car now for the winter. Small world. Doesn't it figure I have an interest in Boneheads hand-me-downs once again. Unfortunately, your price is too high for me otherwise they would have been sold.

BTW...I think the car looks great and I love it with the GT3RS Wheels. You'll have to send pics with the new wheels. Enjoy the car.
