FS: Barely Used Avant Garde Ruger Mesh/ PS2's for 997

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $2000
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Non-Turbo
Location (State): CA
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

Good evening all,

I purchased a set of Avant Garde Ruger Mesh for my 2006 997 Carrera "S" and I am thinking of heading in another direction. I have the receipt and install for the purchase, as I just purchased and installed them a couple weeks ago. They have less than 1000 miles on them and look fabulous, but I think I will be switching to a wheel with a lip. The tires are Michellin PS2. 235/35/19 and 305/30/19. Still plenty of rubber on the rear, as they were purchased last year. The fronts are lower but still have a lot of tread. I wil take more pics tonight or tomorrow.

Thank you for looking and please PM me or respond here with any questions or additional info. I am not totally sure of the offset at this minute, but I can check the receipt tomorrow. I know the wheels are perfectly flush to the fender with a narrow bodied 997 and there is no need for spacers. The front are 8.5" and the rears are 11"

Thank you,

Greg

P.S Wheels can be packaged and shipped at buyer's expense.

You are on the right track. Lower the car and keep the wheels. Looks great.

Agreed... once the car is lowered it will all make sense. What type of suspension are you putting in? I ask because my brother just bought an 06 CS and I keep telling him to drop it.

Thanks for the feedback, Fellas. For now, I am just going to do H&R Sport Springs. Once it settles, the car will be about 1.5" lower.

Stay tuned for pics of the car with a drop.

dblcrown - amazing how much a set of wheels changes the look, love the last pic.

OP, car looks great, I think you will be really happy with the rims once you lower it. (Post those pics either way!)

If I like the look and stance, I will keep the wheels. If I decide on a stepped lip or deep dish wheel, I will sell these immediately after the drop on Saturday. Nice car-color-- and wheels! I have been fighting over the same decision on a set up like this on my .2 or a lip/ step wheel style like the RG5's. I already have Techart springs on mine, will be interesting to see what you finally decide- I'm sure you can't go wrong either way.

I was bored and decided to test my PS skills (or lack there of).

What I would expect a 1.5 drop to look like.... I think this look rocks.

Can't wait to see your actual drop!
