from a friendly bit of street racing. I also know your car is fast. I

know what you do for a living and it might be different for you publishing

that type of info.

 

You nailed it. I spoke with Gregg about the various setups.

He said there's 60-80 hp difference between 71s and 73s. He also said

the spool difference is negligible. 780 - 830 whp for the 73s.

Sam had a customer who ran 200 in the mile on pump gas w/ 73s.

I don't think I said anything about swapping out for a G96 in a 900 hp Porsche.

There's several track setups with stock or lightly modded turbos that've

converted to rwd, GT3 transmission and eliminated ABS.



As for the dyno numbers on the 73s, I think we'll have some in a short

time. We do have some initial performance data with the 73s now.

 

swapping out for a G96? what do you think is in the 996tt stock? A G96/50

GT3 is a G96/90 and G96/96 for 04+ GT3s

once again it doesnt matter if its a 900hp turbo car or a 500hp turbo there is no reason why a turbo car would swap to a gt3 trans with those super short gears. you are full of misinformation but you should try it out get a GT3 gearbox.

converting to RWD doesnt require a GT3 transmission. Getting rid of the ABS doesnt require a new transmission, it requires some parts from a GT2

lets see them. what's the big deal...

OK, now I'm confused..which honestly isn't difficult to do, but on Page 16 (yes page 16) I think you insinuated that you were going to run the GT3 trans, with some gear changes, in between insulting Tim.
This might be what is being referenced by Mark. For the record, you also said that it is not recommended for high HP Porsches...which seems to be what you are building now?
