Great comparisons. But the devil is in the details. These weren't a simple turbo swap between runs. There were a boat load of different supporting mods with each one. The turbo types alone can't be credited with the associated power.

Mark,

Got any numbers of the 3076s on pump/meth or just straight pump (93)?

A3076 is a versatile turbo and can do anything that a28 can do it. As you can see from the dyno it spools even faster then a28 and then completely rapes it on the top end. You can always tune them down to match the alpha28 curve to the tee or even smoother torque but you cant go the other way around. I am not sure how it looks peaky, my A30 graph was falling after 6.5k due to a fuel pump going bad and fuel pressure dropping otherwise it held power flat out to red line.

I've had some milder A3076 tunes before this one that I showed. One made 640whp and next one 700whp.

I feel this comparison is still skewed for several reasons:

1.) The A28 and A3076 were not on the same exact car
2.) Temperature/Humidity were not the same
3.) Same dyno was not used
4.) Same tuner not used

-A3076, 28psi, E85, Tony@EPL tuned, X-Pipe (before i trashed it)
-A28, 24psi, MS109, Markski Tuned, X-Pipe

E85 has better coolant properties than MS109 if I am not mistaken. This is going to play a large role in timing and added boost.

Also, EPL vs 911tuning, there could be large variances in how each tune.

Please note that I am not stating that the A28 or A30xx is better than the other. Nor am I stating that one tuner is better than the other. My observation is that the A3076, in this instance, spool pretty damn fast. However, without comparing them in identical circumstances, it's not enough.

Thanks for the overlay though, much appreciated!

correct BUT both are 996TT with rods. you can only get so close
2.) Temperature/Humidity were not the same
That is what the STD correction factor is for, takes care of that
3.) Same dyno was not used
Actually Dynojets read very similar across the board, obviously some variances but nothing major.
4.) Same tuner not used
I never said it was the same tuner

Thanks for the overlay though, much appreciated!
you and a lot of other guys dont realize one thing and take it way too serious .

this is for relative comparison not scientific proof lol. 2 of his were done on one dyno and 2 of mine on another, I used same correction factor for all 4 displayed.

I'm not taking it too serious, but someone will.

Apples to apples, A28's are going to outspool A30's every time. Now pound for pound, A30's are going to make significantly more power than A28's, obviously.

I also never said that you said it was the same tuner

You know how the board is, someone is going to see it and start touting that A30's will out spool A28's "JUST LOOK AT PRODIGYMB'S GRAPH" - lol.

I like the comparison, but I want boost at 700RPM, lol.

Are you you sure about that ? I am not.
Different cars run differently.

My car ran good and layinbacks car runs good too. I have seen two alpha30 cars get dynod on same dyno from a tuner I will not name that are struggling to even come close to layinbacks car. LoL. Everything is relative.

Nope. I am past alpha turbos and really dont care ,I just posted for guys that are afraid of them and layinback sent me his files. i have done my research and have posted a ton of info about them. The rest is up to whoever is reading.

Again, it goes back to putting an A30xx on layinbacks car. He's going to make more power at the cost of spool.

Either way, I'm just playing devils advocate.

Put some GT40's on your car already, and make 1800hp. ;D
