Audi, these guys are claiming 900 crank. The 800 crank yielded a 5.9
run. Check out their website. They're claiming 800 crank on pump.
I have spoken with well known and honest vendors, (people you know)
off the boards and off the record.... they are the ones who told me
about this kind of stuff several months ago. Gregg at Tialsport calls
bs and he's seen the graphs. He doesn't have to worry about his business
interest on the boards.
This coming on the heels of my givin the Lambo guys a hard time and
going to bat for Markski relative to Tim....... not good lol.
I've always given Lambo guys grief about the no race history thing.
I had a countach poster when I was a kid and I even bought a Gallardo lol.
I have nothing against Lamborghini and I think the Aventador is a
engineering Marvell and a drop dead gorgeous car.

We're doing a 3.8 w/ ProEfi and E85
Special turbo setup that spool real super duper
and has plenty up top.
Custom carbon fiber pieces and by the time were finished,
half the car will be cf. We're shootin for 2700 ish pounds

Good luck with the build.
I can't wait to read all about it.

I understand all your points Randy. The big difference is that everything you were told was "off the record" for a reason. There's a legal term for regurgitated accusations, it's called hearsay. I'm sure you're familiar. The timing of you bringing this all up was just wrong. In one post you claim you just found out about their package and it's numbers after they beat your record. In this one suddenly you have been aware of it for several months. The misunderstanding of whp and bhp didn't make things very clear. I still see no difference in what you are doing now in comparison to individuals questioning the build materials Markski used. If anything it's worse because you're accusing them of outright dishonesty and deceitfulness. Lambast complete, I hope you take this as constructive criticism as opposed to a personal attack. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
didn't! I was told about the false power claims of other well known vendors
months ago. Read my congratulatory post to AMS. After that post, I clicked
on the link to the 900 hp a28 setup. I wasn't butt hurt for losing the record.
Boy, that is the opposite of who I am. I was disappointed that their
message is " You can do this too for 28,000.00 all total."
Bro, please....Mark never ever claimed 800 or 900 with the alpha 28s
He said that the best I'd get would be equalivent to 700-750 crank.
He's actually pretty conservative about these things and if you do a search
you'll see him crushing hp dreams all over the forum lol.
Independent of that, I believe you are right! The timing, the way I did it
etc..... just stupid

platform. The GT2RS sports the Metzger not the 997 platform. The 997 has advantages
but the Metzger can handle the punishment a little better, I think.
This is what Gregg form Tial says:
Gregg Jones
to me
Hi Randy,
827whp x 1.15= 951crank divided by 9.25hp/lbs(thermal mechanical eff vs air flow) = 102.8 lbs min/air
3.6L engine x 6100rpm = 29.71 lbs/min 100% mechanical VE not boosted. VE not likely to be 100% with small GT28 turbines pushing large compressor wheels to high boost.
minimum turbo pressure ratio with intercoolers at 100% eff 3.46 :1 = 36.1 psi ICs can not be 100% eff. the best maybe 85 to 90% and that is being generous
so if the engine has 100% VE used with 100% eff ICs running 36.1 psi gets you 102.8lbs/min to get you 827whp at 6100rpm
What boost were they running? it would have to be more than 36.1 psi does not seem possible on 93 oct pump fuel
they would have to improve thermal mechanical eff but they are using a stock long block 997 engine. it would would have to be over 10hp/lbs air flow on pump fuel to start to make number add up
I am not saying that their dyno did not tell them they are making 827whp
but the numbers are not adding up to support it.

Randy, that math is STILL not right due to the fact you told him it was whp. They are claiming 827 bhp. If you use the same 15% drivetrain loss that Gregg did that means they are claiming 703whp. This is the crux of the whole damn thing. Send Gregg a new email and ask him if 827 bhp and 703whp is possible. You could also let him know this is an awd 997 which has more drivetrain loss than your car.

and yes, I know the difference between bhp and whp.
they're claiming 900 bhp on race gas which equates to
about 765 wheel hp. But look at their website ....
they have a dynograph that shows 827 on pump.
Is this an engine dyno? When you look at a dyno chart,
you automatically think chassis dyno ergo wheel hp.
There is nothing in their advertising saying anything
to the contrary. 900 crank hp? stock engine? on a 997!
and the GT2RS is on a metzger engine because it's
stronger bro. It's the same basic platform in the 996TT
765 wheel horsepower on an alpha 28? for how long?
These guys have the ***** to claim 800 hp on a k16 billet!
Look on their website! I don't care if thats crank, rear wheel
all wheel or the wheel of fortune...... 800 hp on a k16 based
turbo!!!!!!!
Geez, maybe these guys are extraterrestrials and they're endowed
with supra intellectual abilities. 800 horsepower out of a k16
and 900 horsepower out of an a28?
I would give a new set of Toyo r888s to see some uninterested 3rd
party analysis on these subjects.
Maybe have Marcin with Speedriven take a drive over and take them
to the dyno of his choosing. He's right down the road from them.
Dammit Audibull, I want to drop this lol.
I've already alienated myself from most of my Porsche enthusiast
brethren and this is my only hobby lol. I have four boys and a big
stressful company and I don't wanna fight this no more

FYI the 997.1 has the Mezger engine, and its better breathing than the 996.

derived engine. The 997.2 isn't but it's looking good so far.
The GT2RS is not the 997.2 type.
Amazingly our 996TT have a 964 bottom end!
This engine is derived from the GT1 but the GT1 has its roots
in the 930.
