Looking to purchase a relatively recent model in great condition. Need it for use in rear of 996. Thanks in advance.

 

For the backseat, there's no reason to limit yourself to the Porsche brand seat. My kids used a Radian in the back seat. It has a narrow seat that fits nicely in the back of a 996. Here's a link to it on Amazon:
In my opinion, the only reason to buy a Porsche brand baby seat is for use in the front seat when you have the airbag deactivation bar installed (and activated). Here are the details on Pelican Parts website:
