I have a brand new set of genuine Aston Martin clear taillights in the box for sale. These are probably the most popular upgrade for changing the look of your car to make it look more modern and up-to-date. They will fit any 2005MY or newer Vantage, Virage, DB9, DBS, or Rapide in either Coupe or Roadster/Volante body style.

Installation is relatively easy if you are slightly mechanically inclined. Each lamp is held in place by a set of 3 nuts, flat washers and lock washers located in the boot/trunk area. The electrical connector has a locking tab that requires the use of a small flat screwdriver to slide over before it will disengage. Each of the 3 screw posts on the taillight unit has a threaded adjustment to will help you align them perfectly to the contours of the car. Finally, the center surface of the each housing has a long plastic molded trim piece (usually painted body color) that must be migrated from the older taillights to the newer ones. The trim piece is attached by means of two metal clips and some 3m double-sided automotive adhesive strips. To remove it, use a heat gun to soften the adhesive and gently pry itoff with an automotive trim tool being careful not to scratch the light’s lens.

As you can see from the last image attached, once you factor in shipping from the UK as well as any import duty and currency conversion, you are looking at over $1800 from the popular “bits” website for a set of these lights. Buying them from a local US dealer is even more expensive because the factory charges dealers a higher list price which includes the shipping and duty to the USA and then the dealer tacks on the profit percentage on top of that.
