2013 991 Ashtray (smokers pkg) for sale $100 shipped.
I used this for a subwoofer control, so there are holes at the bottom, but once the insert is in place it's not visible. Like new and works great!
I paid over $200 when new.

 

I wonder if this fits a 981? And if the cig ligther works if you installed it on a non smoking pkg car?

 

You can go to sonnenporscheoemparts.com and do a search for your car on there and see if it's the same part #. I did a search for a 2014 Boxster and it appears to be the same, but you should confirm by doing the search yourself.

I checked at it's the same, I'm asking people if it can be installed directly to a non smoking pkg car and if the cigarette lighter works then I will probably buy it.

 

Just got confirmation that the wiring harness is not there on the non smoking pkg cars, good luck with sale. Someone is going to get a great deal at half off.

 

Mine wasn't wired for an ashtray, but I had a 12 volt outlet about 12" further back in the center dash (in the arm rest). I used Posi-Products™ Wire Connectors (Crutchfield.com) to tap into the wires and extend two new wires to the new ashtray, it was a pretty simple job. I didn't wire the light in the ashtray, just the outlet.
