I have been toying with the idea of displaying a flat 6 Porsche engine and do some work with it.

I wonder what would be a good place to find such engine and at what cost? The engine does not have to be working and could be old and rusty. It has to be a flat-6 though.

Any ideas ?

I see they currently have a couple of functional Boxster engines but probably for more money than you are looking for. I wonder if they list broken ones or if they first dismantle those for the parts. Might be worth inquiring.
