What's the weight on these? Any idea if they bolt straight into a 991?

The weight of one seat without side mounts and tracks is 17.2 lbs. With side mounts and tracks it weighs 27.8 lbs. I did a little research here and on Rennlist regarding compatibility with the 991 chassis. From what I found it will directly bolt in and take approximately 20 minutes to do it however your airbag light will stay on. Hope this helps.

Regards

I've received a funny request from a person who said they want to buy my seats with cash and a link to click on. The user name is PAYITFORWARD with zero posts and a recent join date. Just wanted to let everyone know to watch out.

can you tell me what you had to do to run them in a 996 without the airbag light coming on?

There used to be a diy on Rennlist on how to swap factory Euro GT3 seats for sport seats in a 996GT3...there are connectors under the stock seats and there is a way to plug the connectors so there are no mods needed and no lights. I did it myself but it has been 13 years and I killed those brain cells a long time ago. See if you can find the diy.

This is just from memory at least 5+ years ago. I disconnected the battery, took the power seats out of my 996tt, took the seatbelt receptacle off along with the wiring. Plugged everything back into the harness, on the floor of the driver side and zip tied it together. I reconnected the battery and everything was working (no airbag light). Will post a pic in the morning of the harness.

Thanks,
Saadi
